White privilege is not being taken out of your honors English class in your new school district for the counselors to prove you don’t need to be demoted into a “more appropriate” English class because of your ethnic appearance / last name.
This happened to me!! Plus later in the year I had the added bonus of a teacher thinking I plagiarized a paper because the vocabulary was too advanced.
